Welcome to RubyButtonBoo

Please veiw my makes, they are a collection of individual button art and jewellery pieces.
Above is a sample of some bright and colourful brooches.

My makes

I made this pink and grey all button necklace for a friend of mine. She loves it!

Sometimes it is really nice to work with vintage buttons. I made this brown necklace, it is one of my favourites, because all of the buttons came from my Granny Mitchell's button tin.

These button bracelets are really comfortable and can brighten up a casual outfit. They can be any colour combination and look great made out of vintage or modern buttons. This is a rainbow mix star button bracelet.

When I found this small box frame I was convinced I could make an attractive 3D picture. I decided to combine a heart with a gorgeous ceramic button one of my friends gave me.

When I found this vintage flower button I couldn't decide whether to make a brooch or a picture. In the end I made a brooch and put it into a frame!

This is my first button brooch. It is very bright and jolly, the green heart looks so fresh up against the warm pink and red.

This is an example of a button heart finished with organza ribbon. I made this for the Garden House a lovely art gallery in Cromer Norfolk.

Two vintage brown bracelets and an extra large brooch.
Even though we are only in May I thought I should think about a Christmas heart. The red and green works really well and I think these could be sweet tree decorations. Maybe I should try a gold and silver combination?

Bright Red Betsy. This make is a pretty necklace combining buttons and suede with two silver stars.
I have just spent a lovely afternoon recycling an old frame and my daughter's birthday cards into a sweet picture that I have called Butterfly Garden. I took the frame apart and painted it. I then stamped out some butterflies and arranged them in a simple repeat pattern.
